The City may be over, but that doesn’t mean the end of Whitney Port. The girl, with her quirky, bohemian style, isn’t far from our magazines, with sightings of her at red carpet events and out and about in NY still covering the gossip pages.
Whilst her style can sometimes be questionable (remember those pyjama shorts that she wore out in NY), at other times, her West Coast, LA-style, hippie-feel outfits are stunning, and they definitely remind me of the leader of the fashion pack, Rachel Zoe.
Here’s a little look at my favourite looks of Whitney’s.
Whitney Port looked amazing in pale yellow whilst enjoying a mani/pedi and back massage at the Beverly Hills Nail Design salon
Whitney in a to-die-for patterned cardigan whilst shopping at Between The Sheets in LA
Alice by Temperley (the sister line to the Temperley line) has some gorgeous patterned cardigans in its’ collection, including this purple double-breasted, oversized one, which has just hit net-a-porter.
Whitney in this season’s top trouser trend, the grey peg leg, which she paired with an oversized t-shirt, leather jacket and leopard print pumps, to the launch of Wii’s Just Dance 2 in LA – a killer outfit, which I love
This Day Birger et Mikkelson cropped leather jacket is similar to the one that Whitney is wearing. A definite must for wearing with your peg legs!
This black bandeau bikini that Whitney wore on vacation in Waikiki, Hawaii really flatters her figure
Whitney adds a bohemian headband to a stylist khaki jumpsuit backstage at the Whitney Eve S/S 2011 fashion show. Here she is posing for photos with the models for her sponsor, TRESemme.
This embellished headband would look amazing with a silk khaki jumpsuit and some nude-coloured heels.
These patent nude Brian Atwood pumps are a celebrity favourite and a great way to finish a replica of Whitney’s outfit.
Whitney attended the Ladylike Redefined party at the Giuseppe Zanotti store in NY during Fashion’s Night Out, in this season’s top trend: black lace
Try black lace in the form of a cute blouse/shirt, like this Paul & Joe one, which can be worn with a little top underneath and a structured black skirt for a day in the office, then dress it down with just a bra underneath and even some skinny jeans for drinks in the evening.
Whitney in a gorgeous, West Coast style maxi at OK! magazine USA’s 5th anniversary party
You can buy the exact dress, which is by Blu Moon, from Planet Blue.
Parka jackets are a big trend this winter, as Whitney shows, when she wore one several months earlier, whilst out and about in NY
Wrap up this winter in this military inspired Vince parka jacket, and a nice, big, snugly snood.
Whitney arrives at the ‘Wendy Williams Show’ in a gorgeous outfit of a tweed jacket, silk blouse, high-waisted black linen trousers, thin leopard print belt and open toe booties
Whitney shows that tweed jackets are a wardrobe essential, when she pairs another with heels and a playsuit for a summery outfit
If you are looking for a new tweed essential this winter, why not try this See by Chloe jacket.
Or try a statement jacket like this red one that Whitney wore whilst filming ‘The City’ in NY
And finally, multiple prints aren’t always a fashion no-no as Whitney shows when she paired a striped top with a leopard print skirt at the 2010 L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival in Melbourne, Australia
Try wearing this DAY striped top this winter, which would look good with some leopard print leggings and some nude heels.
Add layers to keep warm against the cold winter weather, with an oversized wool snood and a parka jacket, but remember no extra prints.
The original style queen, Rachel Zoe, announced her pregnancy with her 1st child earlier last week.
As I have never featured her in my blog before, I decided to pick out my favourite outfits of hers below.
Rachel Zoe looked amazing in a one shoulder silk evening dress at the Halloween Extravaganza at the Lanvin Boutique in NY
Halston Heritage always have some gorgeous silk pieces in their collection, including this black, bead embellished dress.
Rachel in a gorgeous statement sequin jacket, that she wore to the Proenza Schouler Spring Summer 2011 show in NYC – a great way to spice up a simple outfit, especially during the day
To complete this bohemian-inspired outfit, try plenty of chunky jewellery, including the mandatory armful of bangles and a cocktail ring, such as this starbust one from House of Harlow 1960.
All you need now is a black jumpsuit and some platforms and you are ready to go, day or night!
Rachel Zoe turned up to the ”The Artist’s Museum Happening” MOCA Los Angeles Gala a couple of weeks ago, in a black asymmetric dress
This is a flattering, simple design of a dress, especially for someone with a slim physique such as Rachel’s.
Sass & Bide have a gorgeous one in their collection, which has a little copper bead embellishment on the shoulder, adding a glitzy touch.
Rachel Zoe in a chic skirt suit at the FIT Couture Council’s Annual Luncheon in New York, which was honouring Karl Lagerfeld
Rachel Zoe in her signature floor length kaftan, which she wore to the 13th annual Super Saturday event in the Hamptons
Copy this look with this Matthew Williamson kaftan for a summery look that is perfect for wearing in the heat.
The colours of this dress would really suit some tribal jewellery, including some bright coloured bangles.
Rachel Zoe in a wardrobe basic, the black maxi dress, at the Burberry Beauty garden tea event at a private residence in Beverly Hills
Rachel Zoe looked stunning in a yellow velvet evening dress at the Met Costume Gala in New York
Rachel Zoe looks the picture-perfect fashionista in a fur coat and leopard print dress at the Dolce and Gabbana A/W 2010 fashion show at Milan fashion week
Rachel Zoe turned up in a glamorous outfit to the Marchesa show at New York fashion week, wearing a fur jacket and grey suit trousers
This Anna Sui check faux-fur coat is a great shade for this winter and it would look amazing with some grey peg leg trousers and platforms.
Rachel Zoe channelling Nicole Ritchie with this bohemian outfit that she wore to lunch at Hugo’s Cafe
Try this Winter Kate jacket for a LA look, that be great with an oversized t-shirt, some skinny jeans and wedges.
Lots of oversized jewellery will complete the look.
And finally, Rachel Zoe in her signature outfit of a black maxi with a patterned jacket to the launch of Roland Mouret’s Rainbow Collection for net-a-porter at Chateau Marmont in LA
I hope you enjoyed some wardrobe inspiration and to any American readers, happy Thanksgiving!

thanks for the nice post
I think she has the most beautiful style. Perfect patterns, proportions, and use of accessories. Bohemian and yet still on trend! She’s definitely one of my style muses: http://lavieboston.com/2010/07/23/style-icon-whitney-port/.
